What should I wear to a Pilates class?
Your regular athletic attire, long hair should be tied up, water and a hand towel and we require participants to wear Pilates grippy socks in class.
What is Pilates and how does it differ from other forms of exercise?
Pilates is a movement practice and system invented by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, originally named Contrology! He then invented the Pilates Reformer to help facilitate the method to build skills and improve participants practice.
Reformer Pilates is a full body workout we use the spring tensions to support and challenge the body ensuring no muscle is left untrained.
What are the benefits of practicing Pilates?
- Improved core strength and stability, the Pilates method is a fantastic cross training method and compliments all other types of exercises modalities. From runners, golfers, tennis Pilates will support your training.
- Increased muscle tone and strength, Pilates is a practice which will enhance flexibility and range of motion, particularly in the abdominals, back, and glutes.

Do I need to bring my own mat or equipment?
All equipment is provided.
How often should I attend Pilates classes to see results?
Pilates is a practice and with any practice the more you go the better you get. We recommend you start with twice a week to get to grips with the foundational movement patterns but you can attend class as much as you want.
Are there different levels of classes available?
We have over 6 different levels of class to cater for multi level training, we also only have maximum of 6 students per class to maximise your Pilates class and training experience.
Can Pilates help with specific health conditions or injuries?
Reformer Pilates can be regressed and progressed for the individual student we make sure there is a level and class specific for health concerns and injuries we recommend emailing and we can help guild you to the right level class for your needs.
How long are the classes?
Our Reformer classes are 45 minutes long.
Can I attend Pilates classes if I'm pregnant?
Yes you can we advise you email the studio prior to booking to walk you through the best options.
What is the class cancellation policy?
We operate a 12 hour cancellation policy. We require 12 hours notice to change / move or cancel your sessions this can all be done via our website.
